During Pakistan's opening Test match, Mitchell Johnson slams David Warner & the decision-making board.

Before the Pakistan series, Mitchell Johnson knocks David Warner in a piece for The West Australian.

Mitchell Johnson, a former Australian, has taken a particularly harsh stance against David Warner following the opener's selection for the forthcoming Test series against Pakistan. Prior to this, Warner had declared the Pakistan series to be his final one, with the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) final Test serving as his farewell match. Johnson disagrees with it and has voiced his opinions in his column in The West Australian.

He didn't hold back, either. With his lackluster returns over the last several years, Johnson feels Warner ought to have called it quits on his Test career. He even brought up the 2018 ball-tampering scandal, saying he thought Warner had never owned it.

Sandpaper will run out at Bunnings - Mitch Johnson takes aim at David Warner

"What gifts will the public give Warner? Johnson went on, "Bunnings would run out of sandpaper. The former left-arm quick also criticized head coach Andrew McDonald, saying in Johnson's opinion McDonald has broken his promise to hold onto players who are performing well.

In the end, a career in international cricket involves more than simply your bat or ball statistics. Long after you're gone, people will keep in mind how you carried yourself and how you handled the game.

"Australian coach Andrew McDonald recently stated that their selection of the Test team for this summer will be contingent upon their current form. While it doesn't appear to have applied to Warner recently, it would be helpful to know how long this tactic has been in use.

Mitch Johnson's opinion on David Warner:

"Now, his defection is motivated by even          greater arrogance and hatred for our nation."
